1. Legal Framework & Acceptance
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of all products, solutions, and financial technology services provided by LasLas Digital Services Ltd (“LasLas”). LasLas operates within the regulatory framework of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), National Communications Commission (NCC), complies with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), and aligns with applicable insurance regulations under NAICOM, where relevant. By accessing or using any LasLas service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws.
2. Nature of Services
LasLas provides integrated financial solutions including:
- Digital payments and collections
- Agency banking services
- Remittances and fund transfers
- Mobile top services & Subscriptions
- Merchant and e-commerce services (LasMart)
- Insurance Policy subscriptions (LasSecure)
- Thrift and Cooperative Services (LasTrust)
- Business and revenue enablement solutions
LasLas acts as a technology and service enabler, and where required, partners with licensed financial institutions to deliver specialized and regulated services.
3. Eligibility & User Classification
To use LasLas services, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Possess valid means of identification
- Successfully complete onboarding and verification requirements (KYC)
Users may be classified as any of the listed below:
- Individual Users
- Merchants / SMEs
- Agents / Partners
- Corporate Clients / Institutional Users
Each category may be subject to additional terms where applicable.
4. Account Registration, KYC & Due Diligence
All users must complete required Know Your Customer (KYC) processes in line with CBN guidelines.
LasLas reserves the right to:
- Request additional documentation at any time from her users
- Restrict account functionality based on KYC tier levels
- Suspend or terminate accounts with incomplete or unverifiable information
- Report any irregularities within to the state Regulators (CBN, NDIC, NCC etc.) as demanded by Law
Failure to comply with KYC requirements may result in service limitations and denial.
5. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information
- Safeguard your login credentials and transaction authorizations
- Do not save your login details on shared devices.
- Use the services strictly for lawful and legitimate purposes
- Immediately report unauthorized access or suspicious activity
You shall be fully responsible for all activities conducted under your account.
6. Fees, Charges & Commercial Terms
- All applicable fees will be transparently disclosed prior to service usage
- Charges may include transaction fees, service fees, commissions, or subscription fees
- LasLas reserves the right to review and update pricing with appropriate notice
All completed transactions are final and non-reversible, except as required by law.
7. Transactions, Processing & Settlement
- Transactions are processed subject to system availability, network conditions, and partner infrastructure
- Settlement timelines may vary depending on the service type and third-party involvement
- LasLas shall not be liable for delays caused by external financial institutions or system interruptions
- All transactions are encrypted end to end
Users are responsible for verifying transaction details before authorization.
8. Compliance, AML & Fraud Prevention
LasLas operates strict Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) controls.
We reserve the right to:
- Monitor, flag, or decline suspicious transactions
- Report activities to regulatory authorities in line with legal obligations
- Restrict or freeze accounts under investigation
Users must not use LasLas services for fraudulent, illegal, or prohibited activities.
9. Data Protection & Privacy(NDPR compliance)
LasLas collects and processes personal data in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR).
- Data is used strictly for service delivery, compliance, and operational optimization
- Appropriate technical and organizational safeguards are implemented
- User data will not be disclosed without consent except as required by law
By using our services, you consent to data processing as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
10. Intellectual Property Rights
All systems, branding, technology infrastructure, and content associated with LasLas remain its exclusive property.
You may not:
- Replicate, modify, or exploit proprietary systems
- Use LasLas branding without authorization
- Attempt unauthorized access or system manipulation
11. Risk Disclosure
You acknowledge that:
- Digital financial services are subject to operational and technological risks
- Network failures, system downtime, or external disruptions may occur
- Financial transactions carry inherent risks beyond LasLas’ direct control
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LasLas shall not be liable for:
- Indirect or consequential financial losses
- Delays caused by third-party service providers
- Losses arising from user negligence or compromised credentials
Liability, where applicable, shall be limited to the value of the affected transaction.
13. Third-Party Integrations
LasLas may integrate with:
- Licensed banks and financial institutions
- Payment processors and switching infrastructure
- Insurance providers and other regulated entities
LasLas is not responsible for failures or disruptions originating from these third parties.
14. Suspension, Restriction & Termination
LasLas reserves the right to:
- Suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms
- Restrict accounts based on compliance or risk concerns
- Deactivate dormant or inactive accounts
- Report suspicious transactions to the regulators (CBN, NDIC, NCC etc)
Users may also discontinue use subject to settlement of all obligations.
15. Dispute Resolution
- All disputes shall first be addressed through internal resolution channels
- Where unresolved, disputes shall be referred to arbitration in Nigeria
- Courts of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria shall have final authority
16. Amendments & Updates
LasLas may update these Terms from time to time to reflect:
- Regulatory changes
- Service enhancements
- Operational requirements
Users will be notified of material changes. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
17. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
